Log profiles – according to your choice

Ikihirsi will realise your dream of a modern and traditional living space, with the most viable solution for your desired log profile. The surface of the walls of a planed and laminated log house is smooth and allows for easy decorating. A laminated log is a more modern alternative to a planed log, where the good quality features of the wood are even more pronounced.
Red hearted pine and massive round logs are known throughout the world. They create a stamp of Finnishness for your home. A genuine round log from Lapland exudes warmth and purity - it is made from heartwood from Finnish Lapland.
When a pine reaches a certain age, its branches drop off, leaving only a small crown at its tip. In an aihki tree such as this, the wood is an extremely durable and strong material. At an even later stage, the wood, whilst remaining standing, will become completely kelo. When aihki and kelo are cured in water, the surface pattern and grain remain visible. Each building that is constructed from an aihki or a kelo is therefore unique and exudes the nobleness of wood from Lapland. The traces of craftsmanship and tradition are visible in kelo and aihki buildings.
