The design and the building license

The designing portion of the construction costs of your log house is only a small portion of the total cost of the project. Ikihirsi’s professional design department will be delighted to help you in the designing of your log house and the applications for building permits. Each construction must be accompanied by a corresponding supervisor who is responsible for the work performances, in addition to a head designer, who is responsible for the accuracy of the designs. In addition to the main designs- structural, plumbing and electrical plans have to be prepared.

The agreement

All of the agreements in regards to the construction and their related agreements are made in writing and in sufficient detail. The acquisitions of the materials involved in the log house package are made together with Ikihirsi in a purchasing agreement, to which a separate list of materials is attached. The purchasing agreement defines: the materials, any possible assembly, transportation and payment terms.

Ikihirsi Oy follows consumer trade stipulations made by HTT in regards to log house packages and log products, whilst also following the general agreement terms in regards to installations and assemblies.

Foundation work

The actual construction will begin with the foundation work. The task of the foundation is to transfer the burdens caused by the structures to the ground and prevent the building from sinking. There are numerous options, which are selected in accordance with the conditions of the base with the aid of a building supervisor. The highest elevation level of the ground water and the potential radon concentration should also be clarified. It is also worthwhile clarifying the most appropriate foundation solutions during the early design phase.

The delivery of the log house package

When according to the delivery contract, the delivery date for the log house is approaching, the factory representative will agree on an exact delivery time and method with the client. The transportation is generally taken care of by truck. The client will prepare for the delivery at the agreed upon time by acquiring planks, onto which the goods can be stored above the ground and several covers or plastic sheets, to cover and protect the goods.

Ikihirsi - assembly

After the client has made an agreement with Ikihirsi Oy concerning the installation of a log house package, the installation will take place according to the agreed upon timetable. Our trained builders will perform the agreed installation work according to the prepared designs and documents, taking note of all relevant details. The installation work is considered to have been completed when the client accepts the construction of the home interior and the furnishing and decoration can begin.
